Kumeu Christmas March

Price: NZ $50.00

Marc Nethercot

Instrumentation: Brass Band

Length: 3 Minutes

Difficulty: D Grade

Kumeu Christmas March (pronounced Coo-Me-You) was written by commmision for Kumeu Brass (North West of Auckland, NZ) to perform during their 2008 Christmas parade season.

A fun, easy piece designed to be playable on the march, Kumeu Christmas March features some neat 'emu-vations'!

Firstly, the set comes with a melody part. Many lower grade bands struggle to play confidently on the march. The melody part simply copies the melody (whatever part it is in) right through the piece. Hand this to a strong player or two in the band and be sure of no embarassing weak moments on parade!

Towards the end of the march a solo cornet plays 'Jingle Bells' as a complete solo - a great chance for the rest of the band to sing along, throw some lollies in to the crowd or just sneak in to the bar!

Provided on A5 paper, suitable for lyres with a backing card.
